Corn Wall

Doing genealogical work I came across an ancestor who going back far enough is a native of Cornwall. So I was saying to myself "If you go back far enough" then right at that moment a crack of thunder erupted that sounded like a pack of TNT detonated right outside my window. I immediately knew what it meant--if you go back far enough in the family tree you will come to the Big Bang. So the word Cornwall became superimposed on the Big Bang and I asked myself what it could mean. Why a wall of corn at the beginning of time? Relatively soon after that the mystery became even more compelling when I came across this monogram of Mark Twain. What is it about the TM Kymbol? Why a swastika of corn?
